John Karvelis

AcroYoga teacher, movement facilitator & educator
John Karvelis is an international AcroYoga teacher, movement facilitator, and educator based in Athens, Greece. Movement has been part of his life since childhood, through years of training and competing in gymnastics, diving, running, and other sports. Over time, this athletic foundation expanded into a deeper journey through yoga, acrobatics, healing arts, and mindful connection.
John is a certified Level 2 AcroYoga teacher with 300-hour certifications in Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Krama, and is trained in Thai Yoga Massage, OsteoThai, and Aquatic Bodywork. As a senior teacher, lead facilitator, and mentor with AcroYoga International, and co-founder of AeriaLife Training and the Vertical Trainings project, he travels globally offering workshops, retreats, teacher trainings, and mentorship programs across ground, air, and water.
His teaching blends dynamic acrobatics, handstands, therapeutic touch, and playful connection — inviting students to explore their potential with clarity, confidence, and joy. He has shared his work across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Mexico, and the United States, building bridges between communities through movement, trust, and shared experience.
