This practice is built on imagination, full-body awareness, and respect for where you are. Guided improvisation opens the class, drawing you into different movement qualities and techniques that invite you to feel rather than think your way through the body.
From there, the practice moves into flow, groove, and rhythm: a movement phrase that weaves together everything explored, giving shape to the experience and creating space to embrace something new.
Evelien's movement style is shaped by the choreographers she has worked with, and her classes are always enriched by one thing above all: joy and togetherness.
In this practice you will explore:
• Guided improvisation through different movement qualities and techniques
• Flow, groove, and rhythm as foundations of contemporary movement
• A movement phrase to anchor and integrate the experience
• Full-body awareness and presence through dance
For who:
• Anyone curious about contemporary dance regardless of background
• Movers wanting to explore improvisation and embodied expression
• Open to all, no dance experience required
