Level: Open level (some movement experience recommended)
This practice explores fluid strength and grounded mobility through contemporary dance and floorwork. You will move between floor and standing work, developing smooth and efficient transitions across different levels.
The session begins with guided improvisation to awaken breath, sensitivity, and awareness, gradually building into dynamic movement phrases that travel through space. The focus is on coordination, weight transfer, and the use of spirals to create continuity in movement.
Rather than choosing between structure and freedom, the practice brings both together, offering clear physical tools while leaving space for personal exploration.
In this practice you will explore:
• Floorwork and transitions between ground and standing
• Weight transfer, spirals, and organic coordination
• Fluid strength and grounded mobility
• Moving with both clarity and softness
For who:
• Movers with some experience in dance or movement practices
• Those wanting to explore floorwork and transitions
• Anyone curious about combining structure and freedom in movement
