Distal vs. Proximal Initiation

Raphan Kebe

Sequencing Workshop

In this workshop, Raphan will share his unique approach to movement, exploring how working with either distal (away from the centre/spine) or proximal (closer to the centre/spine) initiation can enhance the flow of your practice. By understanding these concepts, you'll gain a better grasp of timing and motion through space.

The goal of this workshop is to provide functional sequencing principles that allow you to create inspiring, inventive, and safe flow practices for yourself and others. We will also discuss verbal cueing and the teaching elements of Vinyasa sequencing.

This workshop is open to teachers looking for new tools and ideas to enrich their practice and teaching with non-linear movement patterns. No specific physical skills are required to attend—just a willingness to try, make mistakes, and explore further.
