Discover the thrill and connection of standing partner acrobatics in this Foundations of Standing Acrobatics workshop — designed for movers, performers, and teams who want to build strength, trust, and presence while working together on dynamic lifts and balances.
This workshop focuses on translating fundamental skills into visually striking movements that build confidence for performance and group collaboration.
In this experience, you will:
- Play with key standing skills such as two-high, lifts and counter balances
- Develop solid foundations in body alignment, balance, and dynamic lifting techniques
- Enhance partner awareness and timing — vital for both stage presence and team synchronicity
- Practice clear communication, trust-building, and effective spotting
- Explore simple sequences that can be integrated into choreographies or demos
Perfect for dance partners, acrobatic teams, groups, and movement enthusiasts, this workshop will help you build the skills needed to create impressive, fluid, and safe partner work — whether on stage or in collaborative settings.
No prior standing acro experience or partner required — we’ll build partnerships throughout.
Come ready to connect, collaborate, and rise together.

“The miracle is this: the more we share, the more we have.”
"Attending John’s workshop was such a refreshing and enjoyable experience. His ability to make complex movements feel approachable and fun really stood out. The space he creates allows you to explore AcroYoga at your own pace while feeling supported and connected with others.
